Vlookup Multiple Sheets

Vlookup Example with Multiple Sheets

Actually, there is no more complexity between vlookup and vlookup with multiple sheet. If you know how to lock your data set or declare your data set then vlookup multiple sheet is no factor. For data set declaration you can use two method.

Vlookup Example

No 1. you can use name formula. To use name formula go to Formula>>Name Manager. Then click on new. A window will appear. Here In Name Box write your formula name. Then the Scope and comment are as usual. Then click on refers to button. By this button you will select your data set. Then click on same button again. Then close and ok.You can do this task a very easy way. That is you just select your data set then go to the name box (Top left side of this sheet and left side of formula bar) and assign here a name,So your name formula is created.

The method 2 is to lock your data set. You will use $ (dollar sign) to lock the cell. Suppose you want to lock cell A1 so just select A1 then click on "f4" the functional key of your keyboard. It will be lock. So if your data set starting point is A1 and end point is D6 then you will select A1:D6 and then press f4. it will be like $A$1:$D$6 that is your data set is locked.

Now you will just follow the vlookup function of excel.'=VLOOKUP(Value you want to look up, range where you want to lookup the value, the column number in the range containing the return value, Exact Match or Approximate Match – indicated as 0/FALSE or 1/TRUE).
